This sketch is the thirty-sixth in a 365-day challenge to draw a picture a day, every day, for a year…
Day thirty-six: Tonight is the opening night gala of “Titian and the Golden Age of Venetian Painting” at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. My exhibition, “Venice on Paper,” is showing in conjunction with the Titian show, so I’m thoroughly excited for the festivities. I am wearing a tuxedo and a mask, and will look something like what I’ve sketched here. I really like the male figures in great clothes that fellow 365-day drawer Nandemo (see blogroll) often makes. They’re terrific. This is my super sketchy tribute, in which I used my eraser as much my pencil. Cheers!
