This sketch is the forty-first in a 365-day challenge to draw a picture a day, every day, for a year…
Day forty-one: At Kowalski’s I sometimes like to get a sushi sampler as a treat. It’s quite fresh because there a little sushi station in the deli area, and a man makes it on the spot around lunch and dinner time. He always says “thank you” when you pick something out and put it in your basket. For lack of anything else to draw, I sketched my sushi, and then I ate it.
Oh, and yes I was reviewing Alberti’s treatise “On Painting” this afternoon, and the book ended up in the picture plane. Ironically, Alberti would not approve of this painting one bit.
